Theists, why does God allow suffering..
by The Quiet One in..specifically, the suffering of animals.
you can talk about free will/sin/people choosing to not listen to god etc to explain human suffering being allowed.. but how can you love a god that allows animals, that haven't sinned or chosen to not have anything to do with god, to have their short lives ended in often long, drawn out, painful ways.
i could list stories i've read that would probably make you feel ill, but i'm not looking to shock anyone or start an emotional debate.

Can YOU LURKERS explain why it is just, loving and merciful for YOUR God to allow animals to be subjected to the above examples of suffering?...
Or, if you believe in the Bible, can you explain why God drowned all of those animals in the flood?
Why were so many innocent creatures killed, when a few angels could have done the job much more efficiently and without needless collateral damage? -

primarily its the younger ones 35 and under vs older ones.
i dont know if its just my friends or everyone but they are obsessed with jw.org.

JW.ORG TRADEMARK DENIED
by NAVYTOWN ini saw on another forum that the trademark application for the 'jw.org' logo had been denied by the trademark office.
it is too similar to the logo of another company.
there is an appeals process that presumably gives the watchtower a chance to get the decision reversed.
